MONTARIBALDI
Built on an ancient Roman road, the Napoleonic Montaribaldi route between Alba and Barbaresco travelled on the exposed ridges of hills so that it was always viable: on maps from the early 19th-century, it was the only marked road, stands the estate that took its name, and the sunny vineyards.
The family-run estate produces intensely territorial wines: the key phrase is “wines from the vineyard”, in other words with deep ties not only to the area, but above all to the specific vineyards where they grow. After an introduction to the area, the estate and its philosophy, visitors are guided on a fascinating tasting journey.
