Tenuta Carretta

Tenuta Carretta

Tenuta Carretta is surrounded by an amphitheatre of 35 hectares of vineyards, all belonging to a single estate. Founded in 1467, the firm specialises in the production of the most prestigious local wines from Nebbiolo grapes: Barolo, Barbaresco, Roero, Nebbiolo d’Alba and Langhe Nebbiolo.

Tenuta Carretta’s iconic white is Cayega, an extremely elegant and drinkable Arneis. The estate is part of a wine-tourism complex which includes the restaurant 21.9, led by Michelin-starred chef Flavio Costa, a charming hotel with 10 suites and a wine shop where visitors can buy wines from Tenuta Carretta, Malgrà and Edoardo Miroglio Winery (part of the Terre Miroglio group).

The visit also includes the opportunity to take a wine trek of approximately 2 km: colours, sounds and smells are narrated in a downloadable audioguide. The excursion explores the amphitheatre of vineyards that surrounds the winery, with no excessively steep climbs.
