Punset

Punset, on the hills of Barbaresco, is recommended for visitors seeking a radical organic experience. Built on the top of a hill, the winery overlooks Neive, one of Italy’s most beautiful villages and holder of an Orange Flag eco-tourism award from the Touring Club Italiano.

The 100% organic business is run by Marina Marcarino and covers some 11 hectares of vineyards. Strips of woodland, entirely grassed vineyards, an ecosystem with spontaneous flowering and wild insects and animals: at Punset, the belief is that nature should take its course, without force. This approach dates back to 1982, when organic farming was still considered madness. Marina goes above and beyond the organic regulations, applying the principles of biodynamics: treatments are prepared using rainwater collected in old barriques, straw is used for mulching, processes are timed according to the lunar cycle and mechanical interventions are limited.

The estate also has a charming rustic agriturismo (guest house) with independent apartments, a large garden and courtyard.
