Magda Pedrini

Cà da Meo is a small village on the border between Piedmont and Liguria, surrounded by an amphitheatre of hills with wonderful exposure. On these slopes, where the breeze from the Ligurian Sea meets the cool air from the Apennines, Magda Pedrini tends her 11 hectares of vineyards.

When she bought the estate in 2006, she carried out a comprehensive and meticulous restoration of the vineyards with a particular focus on the environment. A new winery stands next to the ancient village, while the estate is in the process of converting to organic status, with treatments limited to the strictly essential and harvesting done exclusively by hand.

The property lies right in the heart of the Gavi appellation, where the soil is tuff: harsh and difficult, meaning that the yield from the vines is low. Visitors here will find a refined atmosphere, with wooden ceilings, white sofas, windows and terrace with views over the idyllic and light-filled landscape of hills.
